Braided is a podcast that threads together the intimate, challenging, and triumphant stories of a group of young people from diverse cultural backgrounds who are living with difficult life circumstances. Braided weaves a vivid tapestry of lives rarely glimpsed.

Braided is a podcast produced by the Artful Dodgers Studios. The Collingwood-based studio is a welcoming and supportive hub engaging at-risk young people through creative projects.

Braided connects young people with Victoria’s leading audio producers who work one-on-one with young people to bring to life the stories they wish to tell. The project opens the door for young storytellers to find their own voice and production style and to learn the craft of audio story-telling. Each episode is an intimate window into the daily challenges, lived experiences and individual passions of the creators.

The Artful Dodgers Studios is a program of Jesuit Social Services, a social change organisation engaging at the hard end of social justice and working to build a just society where all people can live to their full potential.

We are grateful to the Lord Mayors Charitable Fund, the City of Yarra and Gandel Philanthropy for making this project possible.
